    Product Description

The Les Paul Studio has been a popular choice of hard-working guitarists everywhere ever since its introduction in 1983. The 2016 Les Paul Studio Traditional blends timeless tonewoods and components with improved comfort, powerful humbucking pickups with built-in coil-splitting switching for the added versatility of single-coil tones, and the classic looks that define it as a genuine Gibson Les Paul.

Gibson 2016 Les Paul Studio Traditional Features

    • Mahogany body with Solid Carved Maple top
    • Mahogany neck with slim, fast ’60s-style profile
    • Coil-tapped 490R and 498T humbucking pickups in the neck and bridge
    • Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece
    • Chrome Hardware and traditional manual Tuners
    • Hardshell case included
The Les Paul Studio is tone-assured right from the start, thanks to a foundation of the traditional tonewoods that helped to make the Les Paul Standard legendary when it first arrived six decades ago. A carved solid maple top lends bite and articulation to the sound, while a select mahogany back—treated with Gibson’s new modern weight relief pattern to increase playing comfort and enhance resonance—contributes superb warmth and depth. A solid, quarter-sawn mahogany neck is glued in and carved in the fast 60s SlimTaper profile, and topped with a Rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets and traditional trapezoid inlays. In keeping with the stripped-down Studio ethos, the body and fingerboard are left unbound, but the retains elegant touches in its pickguard, and hot-stamped truss-rod cover. Classic Gibson construction ensures optimum playability, too, along with traditional specs like a 24-3/4 inch scale length, a 1 11/16 inch width across the Graph Tech nut, and a 12-inch fingerboard radius for smooth, easy bending.

A pair of Gibson USA’s Modern Classics  humbucking pickups prime the Les Paul Studio for unparalleled tonal versatility. Both are made in the image of the legendary PAF humbucker, with Alnico magnets and 42-AWG wire, but adapted for the demands of contemporary players. A 490R in the neck position offers vintage warmth and throaty blues tones, while a hotter 498T in the bridge belts out all the scorch, sizzle and sustain you require. Furthermore, both are wired for coil splitting, with individual push-pull tone-control switching to tap authentic single-coil tones, which are even wired for hum cancelling in the middle position. The innovative pairing of a Tune-o-Matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece ensure solid sustain and precise intonation, while a set of high-quality Grover tuners ensure smooth, accurate tuning.

Each guitar includes a Gibson hardshell case, owner’s manual, and truss-rod wrench, and comes covered by Gibson USA’s Limited Lifetime Warranty and 24/7/365 Customer Service.

Great Deal on a Great Guitar
What is your opinion of this product?
I was looking at the inverness green color and was really thinking about buying it on black friday sale. I hesitated and then when i decided to buy, it went out of stock on that color. A couple weeks later AMS had a "minor blemished" listed for just $849 free ship no tax (out the door price) so I bought it and so glad I did. I cant even see the "blem" and this guitar is beautiful and feels, sounds, and plays beautiful as well. I have 3 Telecasters (2 American and mex) an American strat, an Ibanes SZ520QM, a 1976 Martin D1235, and an Epiphone AJ18sce. Always wanted a Les Paul and now I have a Gibson in my collection.

I love it and fell in love with her color. I used it twice and of course a distinctive sound.
What is your opinion of this product?
Nice crafted. Neck fits my feel. Need a little action adjustment of bridge but not a big deal. I used it twice already in a jam session and sound was distinctively a gibson. I'm happy for now. My 2nd Gibson in 35 years..Ha ha ha..

Great price! Worth what I paid.
What is your opinion of this product?
Gibson has a great sounding, very nicely packaged guitar. Shipping was fast, my only wish was that it came tuned and with chord options like other stores I have bought from, other than that, I love my Gibson.

    Great item, great price!
What is your opinion of this product?
Excellent Les Paul model. Easy playing, excellent quality fit and finish, and the coil-tapped pickups give a wide variety of tones. I'm a Strat guy but the 498T bridge humbucker has near-Strat tones that work well for me.

I love it but Wine Red was very dark on the face.
What is your opinion of this product?
Set up a bit high but I can live with it until I trim the frets ends. Much too long and extremely sharp. I could cut a tree down with this neck.
